The Supreme Court rejected the government’s JIT on the Arshad Sharif murder case

Web Desk: The Supreme Court of Pakistan rejected the government’s JIT report in the journalist Arshad Sharif murder case and ordered the formation of a new investigation team.
Arshad Sharif’s murder-by-suicide case was heard in the Supreme Court by a 5-member larger bench headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan.
During the hearing, the Chief Justice of Pakistan remarked that the court wants an independent team to investigate the Arshad Sharif murder case, it is a criminal matter and there is no need for a judicial commission.
The Supreme Court also ordered the police to record the statement of Shaheed Arshad Sharif’s mother and adjourned the hearing of the case till 12 noon tomorrow.
