Chief Justice Justice Umar Ata Bandial while giving remarks during the NAB amendment case said that the fault is not in the NAB law but in its misuse, corruption should be dealt with strictly.
Web Desk: During the hearing of Imran Khan’s petition against the NAB amendments in the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice remarked that the fault is not in the NAB law but in its misuse.
The Chief Justice asked that what will be the benchmark for dealing with corruption strictly? What is to be determined is the severity of the court’s action.
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah said that it is our job to tell the Parliament to make the law more stringent. If this is to be done, then we will run the parliament.
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah further said that legislation to deal with climate change is more important than NAB laws.
Further hearing of the application was adjourned till November 29.
