Web Desk: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir governments held a press conference against the federal government and put up a line of complaints and threatened to protest if the issues are not resolved.
While giving a press conference in Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan said that after the change of federal government, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is going through difficulties. A budget of 1.3 trillion has been given in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this time. It kept such a high budget on Imran Khan’s request. Unfortunately we could not get that money. Attempts are being made to wall off the provincial government.
Chief Minister Mahmood Khan said that today I am openly raising the voice of my people as the Chief Minister. We are asking the federal government to give us our funds. This is our right, we are not begging you. We have not received the XFATA fund yet. If we are not getting funds, then we will do soil development work? They say that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa does not have money for salaries, so where will we get money from when it is not being paid. If we are not given our right, we will protest outside the National Assembly. He said that the opposition in the province has also been told, they are also ready to protest. All the people of Pakhtunkhwa will be brought here to protest.
Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid complained against the federation in a press conference and said that our block allocation was 18 billion. Our government’s portfolio went up to 48 billion. The budget of Gilgit-Baltistan has been reduced from 40 billion to 25 billion. In history, such enmity did not happen with this region. Whatever political government came, they did not show such hostility towards Gilgit-Baltistan. They cut our development budget as soon as they came.
Khalid Khurshid further said that it has been 6 months today, 2 billion 80 crore rupees of ADP has been given. We are facing natural disaster every year. How can we run the province in 2 billion. There is load shedding of 21 to 22 hours in Skardu city. This year we don’t have money to run DG sets. We created the Revenue Authority, they opposed it. Where will we get electricity and wheat from?
Punjab Finance Minister Mohsin Laghari said that 167.4 billion rupees belong to Punjab, which the federal government is not giving. Announcements were made but not even a single rupee was given in the flood situation in Punjab. 14 billion rupees were given through Imran Khan’s telethon. The brothers of Sindh and the brothers of Balochistan were damaged in the flood, the flood also caused havoc in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
