Endless series of political instability

The long march of Tehreek-e-Insaf, which started from Lahore Liberty Chowk on October 28, has ended after a month after the last rally on November 26 in Murree Road, Rawalpindi. He said that he cannot be a part of this system. Imran Khan’s speech consisted of three parts, he presented the inflation and economy data at the time of the end of the Tehreek-e-Insaf government and said that he wants to put before the people the damage that has been done to the economy in the last seven months. According to Imran Khan, seven months ago Pakistan’s economy was developing rapidly after 17 years. Imran Khan said that when he assumed power in 2018, there was a historic deficit of 20 billion dollars.
The second part of Imran Khan’s speech was related to criticizing the establishment. He repeated the story of the cipher once again and said that if the cipher is just a hypothesis, why was it admitted to the National Security Council? Imran Khan criticized the establishment and said that in the last four years the government belonged to him but the control was with someone else. Attempts were made to divert them from the path, but Allah Ta’ala saved them. The third part of Imran Khan’s speech was related to the overthrow of the Tehreek-e-Insaf government, he raised the question that what was the reason that our government was overthrown? According to Imran Khan, the Tehreek-e-Insaf government was removed under a conspiracy, the chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf announced to walk out of the assemblies in the last part of the speech, the thing to consider is how easy it is to walk out of the assemblies in practice? It will not be easy for Tehreek-e-Insaf to get out of the provincial assemblies, this is the reason why instead of deciding to dissolve the assemblies in the Rawalpindi Jalsa, the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf merely announced that he should consult with the Chief Ministers and the parliamentary leadership. They will take the final decision later. It appears that there are many legal obstacles to dissolve the assemblies. The sessions of the Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab assemblies are ongoing. According to the law, the assembly cannot be dissolved during the session. If it tries to dissolve the assembly, the matter may go to the courts due to the constitutional crisis. The situation in Punjab is that there is a strong possibility of forming the government immediately after the dissolution of the assembly because the number of opposition is complete. Pakhtunkhwa I may get governor rule, it is heard that Tehreek-e-Insaf intends to dissolve the provincial assemblies, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and will not resign from the Senate, because the duration of the provincial assemblies is very short, while Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan has a few years left, for these reasons But it can be said that Tehreek-e-Insaf will not be able to decide to vacate the assemblies, despite all the concerns, if Tehreek-e-Insaf dissolves the provincial assemblies, then the government will lose the moral justification to continue but political instability will arise. Ga, which is not in the country’s interest in the current situation.
The fact is that the National and Provincial Assemblies are completing their constitutional term in August 2023, in which only 9 months are left, during which the budget is also to be presented in June. It will be difficult to do, because it will not be easy for the caretaker government to present the budget, so it seems appropriate that Tehreek-e-Insaaf should use the remaining period to strengthen its relationship with the people, the other parties will also definitely participate in the next election. The advantage of this will be that an atmosphere of political stability will be established in the country which will lead to economic stability and the holding of general elections will be held in a peaceful environment, but if Tehreek-e-Insaf insists on dissolving the assemblies. If so, the political parties in the government will also make efforts to save the power. It is heard that the coalition parties are planning to move a no-confidence motion before dissolving the assemblies. Once the no-confidence motion is presented, it will be difficult to dissolve the assemblies, a political war will start which needs to be avoided. However, it should be hoped that the political parties will take a decision keeping the larger interest of the country in mind.
