New earthquake shock off the Aeolian Islands, in Sicily.
According to data reported by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, the magnitude 3.1 earthquake occurred in the southern Tyrrhenian area, off Stromboli, around 6:49. The earthquake, reports Ingv, was located at a depth of 292 kilometers. Today’s shock follows the 6.4 magnitude one that occurred on Sunday and the lava flows from the volcano located on the island of Stromboli. However, the two phenomena are not related.
