6 Pakistani civilians were martyred and 17 injured as a result of unprovoked firing by Afghan border forces on civilian population in Chaman.

According to the ISPR, the Pakistani border forces responded effectively to the aggression from Afghan soil, but refrained from targeting innocent civilians in the area.
According to ISPR, after the incident, Pakistan has also contacted the Afghan authorities in Kabul and demanded strict measures to prevent such incidents in future.
